About Me

I am Lindsey Mendenhall, and I am studying Biomedical Engineering at Wichita State University. In high school, I participated in cross country, 4-H, FFA, and FBLA. I was very active in my FFA chapter where I serve as the treasurer on the senior officer team. My FFA SAE (supervised agricultural experience) project is breeding purebred Golden Retriever puppies and helping new owners train their puppies. I am a member of the 2019 National Champion FFA Parliamentary Procedure team. In 4-H, I am the junior leader for 4-H dog practice where I help the adult leaders teach other 4-Hers how to train their dogs. In Wichita, I am active around campus at St. Paul's Catholic Student Center, 3D printed prosthetics, and in the Society of Women Engineers.

The Dogs

Nala

Nala is the mom of the puppies. She is registered with AKC and is a registered AKC Canine Good Citizen. Nala loves to play in the water, fetch, tug-of-war, and go hunting. Nala is very calm and loves to cuddle. I show Nala in 4-H where she has won numerous Grand Champion titles at the Chase County 4-H Dog Show. Nala has also received purple ribbons at open dog shows and the Nebraska State 4-H Dog Show.

Copper

Copper is the dad of the puppies. He is registered with AKC. Copper has been tested and passed the hip and elbow dysplasia, blood, and eye tests. Copper loves to play fetch, tug-of-war, and retrieving almost anything. Ross and Becky Kurkowski and their 2 boys are the owners and caretakers of Copper.

Buster

I have been obedience training and showing Buster in dog 4-H for 11 years. I showed him up through Advanced Graduate Novice, now he has moved back down to the clover kid level to teach the newbies how it's done! We have won both Reserve Champion and Grand Champion at the Nebraska State 4-H Dog Show. Buster is also a registered AKC Canine Good Citizen.

Golden Retriever Puppies

Nala had her first litter of puppies on November 29, 2019. She had 7 puppies, and they have all found their forever homes.

Nala welcomed her second litter of puppies on February 28, 2020. There were 11 puppies total, 5 girls and 6 boys. All of them went to their forever homes just in time for summer!

Nala had her third and final litter of puppies on May 18, 2023. All the puppies have found their homes, and Nala is enjoying life chasing tennis balls!

All puppies are registered with the American Kennel Club. They get loved on and played with every day by myself, family members, friends, and even get periodic visits from our vet neighbors. They will have multiple vet checks and all vaccinations will be up to date when they go to their forever homes. I am located in Imperial Nebraska and would love to set up a time with you to meet the puppies!
